Encyclopedia

An evolving alphabetical map of concepts, definitions and ideas developed within Spiral Civilization. Each entry begins with a short canonical definition and may expand into a full article or monograph.

A

Avant-Garde of Evolution

A Spiral Civilization concept describing a mode of conscious participation in evolution: the attempt to recognize emerging progressive patterns, anticipate possibilities that have not yet become established reality, and participate in creating the conditions through which they may emerge.

B

Beautiful Progressiveness Pattern (BPP)

A working concept of Spiral Civilization describing the search for a recognizable pattern of progressiveness in evolution: a form of development in which emerging structures, relationships, and new qualities increase the range of possibilities for further development.

Beginner’s Mind

The attitude of entering a new evolutionary threshold without assuming that the structures and rules of the previous stage remain adequate for the next one.

E

Empowering Entanglement Gateway (EmEnGate)

A multidimensional interface within SoulSmugglers Stories and Spiral Civilization, enabling authorized agents, Expeditions, institutions and other participants to establish meaningful connection, orientation and translation across different fields of time, reality, knowledge and civilizational organization.

F

Field of Potency

Describes the effective capacity of a person, project or system to make possibilities real through knowledge, abilities, relationships, resources, participation and alignment.

Free-Flow Improvised Dictation (FFID)

The working method through which most of the ideas presented in Spiral Civilization were originally developed. Rather than writing finished texts, Kass thinks aloud; ideas emerge while she speaks, often in a nonlinear form, before they are organized, revised, and eventually transformed into authorized publications.

H

Higher Order

A form of organization emerging at a higher level of systemic complexity. An order that is natural and functional at one evolutionary stage may continue to operate at the next, while becoming increasingly inadequate to its new complexity; Higher Order describes the emergence of organizational forms capable of structuring that next level.

Higher Quality Order

Describes not a higher level of complexity, but a higher quality of organization within a given level of complexity. Different orders can exist at the same civilizational level while producing radically different trajectories; Higher Quality Order asks which forms of organization move from Zero toward the Best Possible.

M

Minimal Optimum

A working principle of Spiral Civilization: begin with the smallest structure capable of enabling the next meaningful stage of development, then learn from what happens, recognize what is missing, and use that knowledge to build the next version.

Multisymbiotic Systems

Configurations in which relationships between multiple participants are designed to increase benefits, capacities and possibilities across the whole system.

P

Perpetuality

A working concept of Spiral Civilization describing the possibility of development that does not require the complete collapse, death, or reset of a system in order for a new evolutionary stage to emerge.

Perfect Spiral

Represents the Best Possible trajectory of development — the path through which each stage reaches the quality that enables the next evolutionary possibility to emerge.

Point of Reality

A Spiral Civilization concept describing the current state of reality, recognized as precisely as possible, from which observation, decision, intervention, and navigation begin.

Point Zero

The primary point of reference of conscious navigation: “I am” — the beginning of the axes of experienced time, space and perceived reality.

Potency

A Spiral Civilization concept describing the capacity of an element, relationship, configuration, or system to generate new possibilities, qualities, relationships, structures, or further developmental states.

Potentiality Fields

Fields of capacities, qualities and possibilities that an entity, relationship or system can bring into a larger whole.

S

Spoken Wish

A working concept of Spiral Civilization describing the moment when a desire for something that does not yet exist — but may already be needed — is consciously recognized, formulated, and expressed.

T

The Best Possible

The highest-quality possibility that can be recognized from the present field of reality, knowledge and available choices.

The Best Possible Field

The field of possibilities in which what exists, what we recognize ourselves to be, and what we may become can be explored in relation to the Best Possible.

Three Spirals — The Geometry of Evolution

A model of three complementary evolutionary trajectories: structured evolution, unbounded evolution, and the lived Trajectory of Conscious Participation.
